Potentially good

This is OK but not very well thought through as an app, needs better navigation and choice of fonts that don’t strain the eyes.
Any chance this could updated please???

Not as good as Platinum

I upgraded now the Platinum version doesn’t work with El Capitan, expecting it to be the same but better.
According to web info, none of the original designers no longer work for the Mavis Beacon brand.
There is no advice on how to touch type capitals, numbers, symbols, caps or even simple functions like backspace and return, tho you are expected to use them in the speed tests. I’m quite disappointed. Had I bought a shop version I would be asking for my money back. Unfortunately with appstore this is not available…so I’d advise spending your money on one of the many cheaper apps.
